The interactive installation, Overload, aims to simulate a situation in which information is overwhelming to our society. In the past, street advertisements and pamphlets were like unnoticed shadows, carrying messages that many considered unimportant, and often ignored by people. Almost no one would be willing to read these advertisements people posted. However, now we willingly dive into a flood of posts, stories online, and so on, in another context, might be seen as useless like those old street posts. The patterns created to simulate Asian calligraphy are intentionally designed to mislead the audience into believing it contains textual content. To further engage the audience, I incorporated an interactive element: placing a box filled with hundreds of handcrafted small-sized notes, and viewers can take these notes. The purpose of this gesture is to foster a sense of connection between the art and the audience and allow the audience to create their own "information."
